National Authority for Child Care (NACC)

Project overview

The National Authority for Child Care is an attached agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. It assumed functions related to alternative child care and adoption, including work previously associated with inter-country adoption programs.

A public portal is live at portal.nacc.gov.ph. From the public edge, the application behaves as a substantial web app (including an events-related surface). I do not describe unpublished internal modules here.

Client / business context

Government information systems have different constraints from commercial marketing sites: identity of the institution, public access, and operational processes that are not optional “features.”

Problem

Public-facing government services need a reliable web portal rather than ad-hoc files and disconnected pages. The specific internal problem statement for my engagement is not published on this site.

Solution

A live government portal at portal.nacc.gov.ph, used as a public information system for the authority.

What I personally contributed

I contributed to this government information system. I do not claim that I personally designed or implemented the entire NACC technical infrastructure, security program, or nationwide operations platform. Precise scope belongs in the note above once you fill it in.
