Baby Gear Rental Platform

KeikiQuest is a rental system for traveling families — cribs, strollers, car seats, and beach gear delivered around vacation stays — not another marketing website.

Project overview

KeikiQuest rents baby and beach equipment to families visiting the South Jersey Shore and Vermont ski resorts. The public site is a specialized rental experience: choose a location, pick pickup and return dates, and browse gear instead of packing everything for a trip.

Client / business context

The brand is a United States rental business aimed at traveling families. Public copy positions delivery to the vacation rental, with service areas that include Jersey Shore cities such as Ventnor, Margate, Atlantic City, Ocean City, and Longport, plus Vermont ski destinations.

Country / market

United States. This is the project I use when a client asks whether I can work with an international, English-speaking market.

Problem

A rental business like this cannot run on a generic brochure or a standard Shopify product grid alone. Families need to know where gear is available, when they need it, and which items (cribs, strollers, car seats, beach wagons) fit the trip. The workflow is rental operations, not simple e-commerce SKUs.

Solution

A web application organized around the rental workflow:

  • Location search for the stay
  • Pickup and return date selection
  • A gear catalog (Browse Gear) covering cribs, strollers, car seats, and beach equipment
  • How It Works, benefits, FAQs, and a partner path for the operating model
  • Vacation-oriented messaging for shore and ski seasons, including a Vermont ski-season reservation prompt on the homepage

The live homepage also presents catalog and coverage figures used by the client (items, cities, free delivery). Those are product claims on their site, not performance metrics I am reporting as my results.

What I personally contributed

I built and shipped the public rental platform at keikiquest.com as a current project. Exact module-by-module ownership (inventory admin, payments, delivery routing) should be confirmed before being listed as individual deliverables.

Key functionality (verified from the live product)

  • Location-based rental search
  • Date-based pickup and return
  • Product selection across baby gear and beach gear
  • Multi-location / multi-city positioning (Jersey Shore and Vermont)
  • How-it-works and FAQs for the rental process
  • Seasonal reservation call-to-action (Vermont ski season)
  • Become-a-partner entry point

Technologies

Stack details for this project are not published on the marketing site. I work with Django, Vue, PostgreSQL, Docker, and REST APIs on business systems of this kind; confirm the exact KeikiQuest stack before naming it here.

Architecture

Results

No independent traffic, revenue, or conversion figures are published here. The product is live at keikiquest.com. The client site currently describes the operation as still ramping (“we're just getting started”), so I do not claim scale metrics.
